The prince of tennis

Recently, I keep seeing a Japanese cartoon called The prince of tennis. It is a very famous cartoon a few years ago. This cartoon mainly tells a story of a young talent tennis player called Echizen Ryoma and his effort with his friends to win the national champion.
Echizen Ryoma is the son of a very talent Japanese tennis player, Echizen Nanjiroh. But after Echizen Nanjiroh has won several championships, he disappeared from the circle of tennis. A few years later, a talent young player appeared in Japan. This is Echizen Ryoma. Although Echizen Ryoma is very young, he shows great power which is not worse than that of players who are older than him. But the way to win the national champion is not very smooth. There are many players with great ability. But Echizen Ryoma can always find the way to overcome the obstacle and in the mean time improve himself. He is not alone. There are also many good friends playing with him. They help each other. Finally they make the dream to win the national champion come true,
After seeing this cartoon I feel very excited. Echizen Ryoma works very hard to achieve his aim.every time he meets very strong rival, he will never give up and fight to the last minute. His spirit can dig out his deep potential and become stronger. This inspires me most. Now, as we come to Singapore, there are a lot of difficulties for us to overcome. Sometimes we may think to give up. It seems that it is not a big deal, but you have lost an opportunity to improve yourself. Only by trying your best to conquer all these difficulties, can we really grow to a mature man and be somebody in the future. This is what I learn from this cartoon. I hope this can help you too.

  2. This is not a new cartoon. I think it will not be shown on TV now. I watched it on the Internet. Among all the cartoons, I love the works of Hayao Miyazaki best.

  5. By the way, it only has the Chinese subtitle. I think it is a little difficult for you to see Chinese characters. You can search it in YouTube, just type in The prince of tennis, the subtitle will be in English.

  6. Difficult for me to read Chinese subtitles? NO WAY!
Do you know I top my primary school in Chinese, and I was one of the top few students in Chinese in my secondary school? Do you also know that I chose to study at Hwa Chong Junior College (one of the few junior colleges in Singapore offering Chinese at A levels) because I love Chinese? =)
Of course I love English too, and I also read English Literature at the college, but really, my Chinese is not quite as bad as you think it is, haha.
Perhaps I may not be able to write as well now (considering the fact that I haven't written much Chinese the past 9 years) but reading is a piece of cake! I can also read traditional Chinese characters, as well as 'Cantonese' characters. Not bad eh?
