Schools offer a wide range of courses such as physical education, music, economics, philosophy
, math, English, geography, physics and history. Among
all these subjects, which one do you think is the most important and which one is the least important?
You should write at least 250 words.
In contemporary world, people seem have more opts to take the course which they like than they ever have before. At the same time, a wide range of courses are available to students. Hence, whether all the courses should be same important has sparked a spirited debate. Personally, I believe not all the subjects are equal. For the reasons of our limited energy and time, our interests, and our talents, we are well-advised to regard our courses in different important levels.
Firstly, the energy and time of individual is limited. If all the courses are regarded in the same way, a great deal of time and energy would be consumed but little effects would be refunded. People have to lead a very busy and stressful life if they want to perform well, which may do harm to both their physical and mental health. However, sometimes they cannot get ideal grades because they need to address too many questions and put into huge energy which is already beyond their abilities. Therefore, all the courses should not be regarded equally.
Secondly, interests play a key role in the process of acquiring knowledge. We cannot deny that people who contain strong interests towards one filed tend to perform well in it. Interests can fuel our passion and motivate us to explore uncertain world. Hence, it is wise of us to spend more time and energy to what we are interested instead regarding all of subjects equally.
Thirdly, talent towards certain fields should not be ignored. If we have talents in one field, we may pay less but gain more when we carry on it. Moreover, it is likely of us to inspire more creative ideas. Thus, it will be beneficial for us to devote more time and energy to the subjects which we are gifted.
To conclude, it is not scientific for us to regard all the courses in the same important way. We need to understand ourselves exactly and devote our energy and time to the fields which we are interested and talented.
