MY STRATEGIES IN LEARNING ENGLISH

It is a generally acknowledged fact that there is no shortcut on the way to achieving English proficiency and "practice makes perfect" is a frequently cited and commonly used quote when ti comes to language learning, which contributes to a touch of helpless feeling that what we can do is just so limited.
Netherless, we ought to be fully aware of the crucial role it plays to have a thorough knowledge of stategies in terms of learning English. The way we do it sometimes can be a deciding factor with regard to both its effectiveness and its efficiency.
The first effective stragegy I highly reccommend is to keep a dairy or write blogs in English every now and then, since frequent practice like that can transfer your original thinking patterns, which will lead to your fluent and idiomatic English.
What comes next is to form the habit of reading different categories of books as much as possible, with which you will become capable of mastering and familiar with a myrid of technical terms and common collocations, thus leading to an expanding vocabulary and an increasing word power.
On top of all those listed above, daily practices such as talking to native speakers and listening to local radio programmes are indispensable as well.
To be brief, instead of just "go as it flows" there is always something, that is of great benefit, we can try.

  1. Dear Zhang Qiong

You need to write to the point of the title itself. That means, you are supposed to write about YOUR particular learning strategies, not from the general viewpoint of what learning strategies can be good for a learner. Do pay attention to spelling as there are several spelling errors. Most of your sentences are very long. It would be better for you to shorten the sentence and begin another sentence. But you still continue to use the Adjective Clause.

The content of the Introduction is strong but the content of the Conclusion is rather weak.

    Keep on trying.

  2. By reading your bolg, I realize that I have to work hard to build up my vocabulary. I am very glad to learn several new words from your post. Keep on doing that. If we don't use them, we will never know the exact meaning of them. Good job! Well done! I hope to read your new post!

  3. Hi Veronica, my take is ALWAYS SPEAK IN ENGLISH. This is the only strategy to improve your oral skills, no other way :-)... You have rightly said, READ, READ and READ some more. I can see that you copy sentences that you find interesting, This is an excellent approach, we learn from others. However, we also learn to express ideas in our own words. A blog is 0one such approach - to create space for you to express your thoughts and feelings. I sense that you are very comfortable in writing blogs. Keep it up.
