Everyone has his own strategies in learning English. No one can tell which is more effective. I also have my own strategies. Now I will introduce them to you in three aspects, listening, speaking, reading and writing.
Listening as much as possible is very important. If we want to communicate with others, we should understand what they are going to express. So every night I listen to the BBC. Although I can' t quite understand all that they broadcast, I will try my best to catch each word and pick out the word I know or am familiar to guess the meaning of the whole sentence.
Try to speak English in our daily life. I think speaking is the best way to improve my English. While speaking, I can use my vocabulary ,practise the grammars and correct my pronunciation. I my dormitory, I try my best to communicate with my roommates in English. Then you can correct esch other and improve together.
Read at least one hour a day. Reading can expand our vocabulary , reinforce the memory of the words I have learnt. What's more, it can also improve your comprehension ability. Every I manage to read newpapers or a few pages of a book. Try to guess the meaning of each word. Then record the good words and phases. A period later it will be a large fortune.
Through writing, we output what we have learnt. Try to use the words and phases you have collected. Only by using them flexiblely can you master them indeed. Try to keep a diary or write posts in English. That is really helpful.
I think if I keep on with these strategies, my English level will be higher. Which one is suitable for you ? You can have a try.
