When I was in junior school, my English teacher always wanted another student to perform better than me. Having realized that, I was frustrated, so I hated the teacher, hated the lesson and furthermore hated English. And eventually, my English teacher realized his dream. My lack of motivation in English sustained even though he didn’t teach me, therefore, my English fell behind. Fortunately, Mrs. Chu came and breathed new life into my English learning. She seemed to like every student and was very humorous, which inspired us so much. Resulting from that, my English progressed rapidly. So I think, motivation--retain interested in is an essential part of my strategies.
In addition, collecting and memorizing is a useful way to learn phrases, idioms and collocations, which are fundamental to language use. As they are in large amounts, you can’t recite them in one time, the viable way is to set them down and know them by heart, the time you encounter with them.
At last, it is practice that makes the perfect. I find that the best way to make your vocabulary effective is to use it. As for other skills, practice enables you to be competent of them.
My learning strategies can still be improved during the process of learning English.
