What makes a difference

I bought a Digital Single Lens Reflex(DSLR) camera Sony α 300 in IT show, here I want to share my experience and why I chose Sony as opposed to Cannon which is considered better by many people.

Last Sunday, I went to the Suntec Centre where the IT show was held together with two of my friends. Apart from the Chinese New Year and the Christmas, It was my first time in Singapore to see so many people went to a place at the same time and they seemed to fear to drop behind others. One of my friends defined the phenomenon as a convincing proof of Singaporean’s “Kiasu”. My aim is clear, a camera. So, elbowing through the crowd, I made my way to the exhibition stand of camera directly. My first stop is Cannon which is considered good in equality and advanced in technology. Actually, I had an intention to buy a Cannon D100. So, if it wasn’t for the things happened next, I would have bought a Cannon DSLR. I headed to the stand of Cannon hoping to get some information. The salesmen there were not greeting at all. They just engaged themselves in talking with others and ignored me. Finally, around 5 minutes later, one of them came to me and asked if they could help. I told him that I want a camera, whether he could give me some introduction. He gave me a leaflet on which printed many types of Cannon cameras. Since I was not familiar with the professional technical words in camera, I asked him if he could explain to me the introduction on the leaflet. He seemed to be a little reluctant to do that. And after two or three questions, he became impatient and finally he said to me: “Sorry, our queue is still long. If you want to buy, please be quick.” Hearing the words, I felt very angry. So, I turned away without hesitation.
Leaving Cannon with anger, I went to Sony. In stark contrast with the attitude of the salesman in Cannon, Sony was very warm, patient and helpful. They gave satisfying answers to every question I enquired and showed me the camera’s functions thoroughly by demonstrating them with real camera. In the whole process, they explained to me patiently with smiles. Their gifts were fascinated as well. So, I was persuaded at last. I made up my mind to buy a Sony. The salesman even led me to the cashier queue and helped me solve the problems of my bankcard!

This is my experience of buying my camera. Now, looking at my Sony α 300, I can tell that what made my mind to buy Sony and what difference Sony made was the good service to its customers!
