My hometown—Dalian, Liaoning Province

Having left hometown for nearly three months, I more or less miss it and my family. In addition, after appreciating my friends’ description of their hometown, an idea of bringing my own forth occurs to me. My hometown is Dalian, exactly it is an area in the northeast of Dalian inner city called Jinzhou. It is like a plain girl, and her beauty is natural. Though there is little amazing scenery, you will be satisfied if you are looking for a tranquil place to spend your rest life happily.
First of all, please look at the mountain which is called Big Black Mountain. I think, that’s because there are not many plants so the black solid is exposed and that’s why it is called Big Monk Mountain as well. The height of it is 663 meters, and when you climb the peak, you are perhaps able to see the beautiful scenery that one side of the mountain is surrounded by the mist as like you are standing on the white clouds while from the other side the whole of Dalian city is absolutely in your sight. Some temples stand on the mountain and they also attract many visitors to come.

Next to the splendid mountain located our high school whose name is Jinzhou high school. It is said she is one among the best school in LiaoNing Province because of her advanced equipment. At the sight of the familiar playground, I think back the period when our class play football or play snow balls. The canteen reminds me of the time we rush for our lunch in crowd after class. The school gate seems to tell the story of my getting to the school every morning. When I leave it, I just feel how happy we once were. It’s true that I remember that time clearly. The teachers, the classmates and the school are all what I should cherish.

Besides the two palaces, in the inner of Jinzhou, there are about ten shopping centers. And some squares also provide many chance of entertainment such as dancing, walking etc. Though my hometown is not big, it’s really exquisite and can give me warmth and comfort. Welcome to my hometown..
To be honest, if I didn’t spend time on the preparations for description of my hometown, perhaps I never realize how charming she is. As the saying goes, the beauty of home is greater than wherever it looks beautiful. Finally, I also want to share with you it’s true that there is quite a lot of beauty in the world while you have not discovered it.

  1. From this blog, I can see your love for your hometown which I really admire. I’ve been to Dalian only once, it is really a beautiful city and I enjoyed my days there a lot. But at that time I was so little that I cannot remember all the things now, the only place I can clearly remember is the Shengya Underwater World. Have you ever been there? It is a pity that I didn’t get a chance to visit Jinzhou but I really hope to go there, and if I went there someday, would you treat me a big dinner? :D

    PS: to DongYingtao,
If you go to Dalian someday in the future,I will treat you a meal together with Shuwen.

  4. You must very love your hometown from the words in your article. I think Dalian is an idea city for people to live after I read your blog, as a city contains the advantages of economic developed and many beautiful sceneries at the same time. I think this point is very one in a thousand. From the picture you posted, let me get a chance to appreciate your hometown’s splendid mountain and visit your senior school which have many developed equipment. This also reminds me of my hometown and my senior school. However, my hometown is not as famous as yours, but I also love it very much, because that is where I was born, that is where I grow old. Thank you for your sharing. After your instruction of Dalian, I think it is very worth to have a visit to Dalian.
