I want to introduce the movie Wall-E to you. I was impressed by the robot and the obese people 700 years later in the movie. 200 years later, we human have invented very advanced robots that just have the same feeling of our human, and even can love. But at that time, we human have created so much rubbish that the earth is no longer suitable for we 
human to live. So the get in a spaceship called BUY an
d LARGE and leave the earth and leave a kind of robots called Wall-E to clean the earth. The people in the spaceship sit on a special chair which can move to wherever they want and have a screen on it. When they are hungry, they just call the robots to deliver food for them; when they are sleepy they just sleep on the chair. In a word, they just sit on the chair and never get off to do
any exercise, even not walk for one meter. They just ask the robot to do whatever they want. They just send robots to search the universe to find if there are any planets at is suitable for human and to see whether the earth is cleaned up. What they do in their daily life is just sitting on the chair and enjoying the artificial sunshine and the TV show in the screen of the chair and the nice food in the cup. As time pass by, they become more and more obese, just like pigs. What’s more, as there are intelligent robots, so there is no need for them to think, to explore the truth in the universe and to create new technology and science. The seldom use their mind. Then as a result, 700 years later they can’t get off the chairs any longer because that they are so fat that they can’t even stand on their feet and of course can’t walk. What’s worse, their mind is no longer filled with knowledge.
Then one day, a searching robot called Eve come to the earth and search for plants that are considered as the signal that the earth is suitable for man to live again. That is to say that if there are any plants on the earth again, then the people in the spaceship can return to the earth. There eve (a female robot) find the robot Wall-E (the only one left on the earth). Before that, Wall-E is a very hardworking and optimistic robot. Thought he was the only robot left on the earth, he cleans the rubbish everyday and collect what he thought is valuable in the rubbish. Then the day comes when he finds a plant in a box, and he removes it in a shoe. When he meet eve, he is totally impressed by the beautiful robot. He talks to eve when Eve is search on the earth, and led her to his house—a shabby but comfortable box car. Accidently he shows to eve the plant and the instruction in Eve’s mind begin to work. Eve become like an egg, and is unconscious. The days later a spaceship come and drive eve away. Because of the concern of Eve, Wall-E grab the spaceship and go to the BUY and LARGE。Because of the finding of the plant, the big spaceship should go back home. The captain is so happy because that they finally can go home. But the wheel (assistant robot of the captain) has got a message from the original captain that the spaceship can’t go back. So he prevents the captain and imprisons him. But the captain is very eager to go back earth, so he asks Wall-E and eve to put the plant into the detector so that the spaceship can return. However, the wheel is so strong that he asks all the guard robots in the spaceship to catch them. Having overcome a lot of difficulties, they finally get to the detector. But the wheel knows what they are doing, and just close the door of the detector. Just before the door is closed, Wall-E uses his body to block the closing. He is nearly dying at that time. At the same time, the captain is fighting with the wheel, and finally switches off the wheel. So wallet is released and Eve put the plant into the detector. The spaceship then gets the instruction and return to earth. Nevertheless, Wall-E is badly hurt and nearly dies. At that time Eve has fell in love with Wall-E, so she is very worried about Wall-E. When the spaceship returns the earth, she rushes out immediately hugging Wall-E. She rushed to Wall-E’s home and replace the broken part of Wall-E. Wall-E finally wakes up again, but he doesn’t remember anything including Eve. Eve is very sad and doesn’t know what to do. Finally she kisses Wall-E sadly. How powerful the love is that Wall-E remembers everything and of course the love to Eve!
Then the sweet movie ended with the sweet moment that they hug each other. Good movie, isn’t it? You should watch it; trust me.

I watched the movie recently as well. I can’t agree with you more that it is indeed a good movie.
ReplyDeleteFirst, the Disney’s originalities are really impressive. The style of the robots and the design of the “future” all are fantastic.
Maybe it is a simple story, but just as you say, the movie intends to tell us something.
In the first place, the “future” earth that is full of rubbish to remind us of protecting the environment.
In addition, we should stand on our own legs and we shouldn’t rely so much on machines and I think it is what you wanted to tell us in your oral presentation on Wednesday. It is really sorry to see that the people in the “future” are too fat to stand up and they almost can’t do anything without the help of machines or robots. They are almost controlled by the robots.
I really appreciate the last part of the movie, in which WALL-E fights really hard wanting to help Eve. I was moved to tears by this part.
WALL-E is really a creative and moving movie.
I haven't seen this movie, but I am really impressed by what Kangli and Yaxin said. Yaxin said that she cried in the last part of the movie. I wonder that which makes her cry or just she likes to cry. Maybe it is the scene when WALL-E fighted against wheel. I really appreciate WALL-E's courage and his loyalty. He sacrificed himself to save others. This is a real virtue in both robots and humans.
