Netherless, we ought to be fully aware of the crucial role it plays to have a thorough knowledge of stategies in terms of learning English. The way we do it sometimes can be a deciding factor with regard to both its effectiveness and its efficiency.
The first effective stragegy I highly reccommend is to keep a dairy or write blogs in English every now and then, since frequent practice like that can transfer your original thinking patterns, which will lead to your fluent and idiomatic English.

My Learning Strategies in English Learning

No matter do everything, you must have your method or strategy to make it move on effectively, and so that you can save you time and get a more satisfied result. This can also be true when mentioned about the English Learning. So for me, I individually have my own strategies in English Learning.

As we all know, it’s impossible to learn a language well if you don’t have abundance vocabularies. Everyone has his own strategies to remember vocabularies, and the strategy which I use may not sound the most effective, but I think it is the most suitable for me. I look up the dictionary first; I find the use of it and giving an example by making sentence. Then I write it on paper over and over again.

Another strategy for me to learn English is reading. This not means that you just do a lot of reading comprehension practices. It means that you should read everything written in English which is available to you, as long as you like it. You can read the newspaper every day, and you can read the magazines, the novels and even the textbooks. It depends on you, if only you enjoy your reading. So reading is the way which you can enjoy yourself as well as improving your English.

The third strategy is to do your best to transform your mind active words to your living active words. And this is very helpful for our speaking English. But how can we do this? Maybe you can put those words to a specific context so that you can know how to use this word. Or maybe when you do you your homework, you can try to use it to instead of the old or low words you’ve used before.

Strategy is only strategy. The most important thing is that we should develop our interest to the English learning and have a good learning attitude. And I think others’ strategies may not your strategies. Only when you devote yourself to the English learning, you can find the most effective and suitable strategy for yourselves.

My learning strategies in English learning

Whenever we decide to do anything, we must resort to methods and strategies. So is our learning English. Once you find a good way to improve your English, the way will benefit you a lot.
I would like to share my learning strategies with you. I hope some of them may be useful for you to improve your own English learning.
First, I want to put emphasis on learning phonetic. Just like you build up a tall building, it is important for you to deal with each ceramic tile carefully. Knowing the right way to pronounce a new word is essential for you to communicate with others in English. If not, you can only read English rather than hear and speak English.
Secondly, we should master a large number of vocabularies. I felt frustrated when I met with many new words in a reading material. It took me a lot of time to look them up in a dictionary. After I have recorded them, I almost forget the main idea of the article. So I tried to use another way to avoid this problem, I searched on the internet to download some words which appear in the newspaper with high frequency. I recited them and reviewed them frequently. It took me some time, but the return was also worthy of it. I found there fewer words for me to conquer when I was reading.
Thirdly, resorting to different kinds of reading materials may be another good way. There are many good books which are specially designed for Chinese learners such as family album USA. This book is interesting because we can learn pure spoken language while watching DVD. All the texts in this book are plays which are put on the screen. You may find it fun to learn English.
Last but not least, you can watch foreign movies when you are relaxing. You can enjoy the movie while practicing your listening. I know that many students like watching latest movies. But one thing we should insure is that we just watch them for pleasure. We should study hard in other ways to improve our English.
These are my learning strategies, I hope they can benefit you in your progress of learning English. And I will improve my ways of learning English as well.

In our daily lives, we can find some people have great inelegancy to learn foreign language; some of them are even skilful in several kinds of languages. But there are also some other people to whom a foreign language is too difficult. Why these kinds of thing happen? Actually, despite the genetic differences, to find one’s most useful strategies in learning will make a big difference. In this blog I want to write about some of my useful English-learning strategies. Such as memorizing new words, communicating and watching films.
First, I think memorizing new words by making sentences is a effective strategy. Even a very long article is consisted of short words and collocations. So enlarging our vocabulary is important. A man with wide vocabulary can perform well in oral communicating, writing and reading. But just remembering the spelling and meaning of a word is not useless. The word is easy to be forgotten in this way. I suggest that when see a new word, first, we should look it up in a dictionary to know the meaning of it and the example sentences, then, try to use the word to make sentences yourself. In this way not only the word can make a deep impression in your mind but also let you know to use it.
Another strategy is practicing speaking. The essential of English is a tool used to communicate. The more you speak the better your English will be better. We can practice in talking with our friend, tutors or native speakers. In practicing, we can learn to make sentences to express our feelings and find out whether we are correct or not. You will get improvement gradually in this progress.
The last one is watching English movies. In a movie, there are new words, the pronunciations of each word and what’s more important, ways in which native speakers make their sentences. Besides, when watching movies, you will be delight and concentrate all attentions on them. So the words, grammars or sentence patterns can live deep impressions on your mind. By the way, I don’t think it’s good to watch English movies with Chinese subtitles, or you will just focus on the plots, lose a chance to learn English.
Different people have different way in studying English. These are some of my learning strategies, I hope they are of some help to you.

How Can I be successful as a student this semester?

There are many things I should do in order to succeed this semester.
The First and the most important one is study. This semester we only have bridging course. But it is very important to us scholars. We must learn English hard in order to improve our English, so that we will be able to understand the English course when we enter NUS.
So in order to reach this target, I have a plan about this semester. Listening and speaking are the really problem to me. And especially to understand the native speakers their pronunciation is a little different from us. And my pronunciation is not very clear. So to solve this problem, I have to make full use of the English course. Try to adapt to the tutors’ speaking. And take every chance to speak, especially in front of the whole class. And I will try to speak clearly to make myself understood. I will do as much as I can to improve my speaking and listening.
For reading and writing, the vocabulary is a big problem. my vocabulary is very limited. So I also will take every chance to enlarge my vocabulary, such as new words in silent reading, in tutors’ sentence and in the book we read. And I will use these new words as much as possible in order to remember them. And I believe that as long as I follow this plan, I will succeed in English study.
The second one is friends. This semester I also want to make friends with others and get along with everyone around me.
The third one is healthy. I will exercise regularly the semester to keep fit. Success is nothing without health. And I like play basketball very much, and I want to meet me people through playing basketball.
I think I will be successful as a student this semester if I have done all above. Trust me, ok?

As we all know, learning English is far more than reiteration and memorizing. There are many learning strategies involved. So now I want to share my learning strategies in learning English with you.

First of all, take full advantage of the dictionary. When I look up an unknown word in my dictionary, I try not to simply focus on the meaning. The usages of the word are also crucial, which means that we should be aware of the collocation, as well as the idioms containing the word in it. In addition, pay attention to the way that the dictionary uses to explain the word, because sometimes when it comes to you, it may be quite difficult to figure out the precise and proper interpretation.

There is an old saying that goes, practice makes perfect, and I find that it still works in the case of language learning. Seize every opportunity to speak in English or talk with native speakers and use new words and phrases to express your feelings. Only in this way can you make progress in your English learning, especially your oral English.

Then, if possible, cultivate a habit of leisure reading. Multiple reading, no matter newspapers, magazines, novels or even textbooks, will not only broaden your horizon and enhance your general knowledge, but also enable you to get familiar with new words and expressions. The first time you encounter a new word, you recognize it. The second time you make acquaintance of it. Finally, the third time you will be mastery of it. As you accumulate more and more, you will build a large and abundant vocabulary. Furthermore, developing a habit of reading will arouse your interest in learning English. As another saying goes, ”interest is always the best teacher”, you will soon gain an obvious improvement in your English, just like myself.

At last, having some effective English learning strategies, together with a good attitude towards learning English, will help you acquire the language faster and easier. Besides, make conscious effort to find other useful strategies during your English learning journey, I am sure that you will benefit a lot from them.

My Learning Strategies in Learning English

I believe that everyone has his own learning strategies no matter he knows or does not himself.Now I introduce my learning strategies .In my opinion, reading for leisure, reciting good passages and building vocabulary bank are quiet effective strategies.

As we all know, interest is the best teacher. Maybe most of us have been bored of articles in textbooks and cannot develop the interest in learning English. Then reading for leisure plays an important role in developing our interest in learning English. We can read anything we are interested in, such as literature, mathematics, arts, architecture, and philosophy. In this way, we can develop the interest in learning English; meanwhile, we can form the good habit of reading, which is significant in learning every language including your mother tongue.

Reciting good passages is also important in learning language. Good passages here do not mean ones from excellent articles written by famous authors. They are only typical English passages that you can learn how to apply words, phrases, idioms and sentence structures from. We can learn how to use native English through reciting them.
Vocabulary is the soul of a language. We must know a good knowledge of vocabulary if we would like to master it. We can build our vocabulary bank with many methods. Vocabulary from text books, newspapers, magazines, and novels can be part of it. We should use them frequently after we know them. Only in this way can we really master them and write good passages with them.

Lastly and most importantly, whichever methods we use, practice is the most important. Practice makes perfect. We must believe that we can learn English well if we do it with effective strategies and, of course, with right attitudes.
